공연명 / 미국 The Philadelphia Boys Choir 초청공연 협연 : Sop. 이정애, 월드비전어린이합창단(지휘:김희철) 일 시 / 2001년 4월 23일(월) 오후7시30분 장 소 / 예술의전당 콘서트홀 주 최 / 예술기획 파홀로, (주)클래식21 후 원 / 문화일보, 인천광역시, 월드비전어린이합창단 공연문의 / 예술기획 파홀로 Tel 02)582-0040 Fax 02)588-5542 회 원 권 / R석 60,000원 S석 40,000원 A석 20,000원 B석 15,000원 (예술의전당 일반회원 10%, 골드회원15%할인적용 단체 20명이상 20%, 30명이상 30%할인 ) 필라델피아 보이스 콰이어 소개 Robert Hamilton이 창단한 올해 32주년을 맞는 세계적으로 유명한 전통 있는 합창단으로 음악감독인 Robert Hamilton의 지도로 노래에 메시지를 담아 사회적 정치적 문화적인 장벽을 허물기를 계속해 오고 있다. 필라델피아 오케스트라와 함께 Maestro유진 오먼디, 리카르도 무티, 주빈 메타. 볼프강 자발리쉬등의 지휘자와 다수의 명 연주를 선보였으며 지휘자 리카르도 무티는 “Tosca” concert version을 공연하며 ‘보물’로 칭송하기도 했다. 1982년에는 파바로티와 함께 공연한 TV물 ‘La Boheme’으로 에미상을 수상하였다. 필라델피아 보이스 콰이어는 1970년 European Tour를 시작으로 매년 World Tour를 하고 있으며, 2001년은 32주년 기념으로 아시아권인 한국과 중국 Tour를 계획하고 있다. Dr. Robert Hamilton 창립자 및 예술감독으로 펜실베니아 피츠버그 태생이다. 지휘자 Lorin Maazel의 아버지인 Lincoln Maazel과 동학, Carnegie Mellon University에서 공연·음악교육학에서 학사 및 석사학위를 받았으며, 그곳에서 Phi Beta Kappa의 일원으로 활약하였다. 또한 Combs College of Music에서 박사학위를 받았다. 한때, 필라델피아 학구에서 음악 후원자로, 지난 32년동안 Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale를 전 세계에 알리는데 공헌하고 있다.
